The View Comes Into Focus

The View Comes Into Focus

The past seven years have flown by. All of us at Fleet Feet are sincerely grateful for the customer support that we have received since we opened in Columbus in 2005.

When we opened our store, we were sure that we did not want to be just another retailer. We felt strongly that in order to make a difference, we should be at the center of a health and wellness "ecosystem" that comprised retail, endurance training, race participation and healthcare. Our vision is about to become complete.

In 2012 we will train over 1000 runners and walkers in our No Boundaries 5k program and our Marathoner In Training (MIT) half and full marathon training programs. Through our association with Premier Racing and M3S Sports, we will sponsor or help to manage over 200 endurance sports events this year. We also work alongside Dr. Darrin Bright, Sean Huffman, Max Sports and OhioHealth as part of "The Runner's Clinic" each Wednesday morning.  The clinic ensures the continuum of care from physician to therapist & athletic trainer and to proper nutrition and shoe fitting.

On or about March 9th, we will move into our new 5,000 square foot state-of-the-art store. Among other customer amenities in our new store, we are working with OhioHealth in the development of a dedicated space for patient screening. The space will be served by Sports Medicine Physicians, Foot and Ankle Doctors, Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, and other medical practitioners who will be available for consultations with our runners and walkers.

We still have a long way to go to fully serve Central Ohio. For all those that we have had the privilige to serve, from shoe fitting, to getting involved in training programs, to completing their first race, to referring to our
medical partners; there are thousands more who we can still serve.

Our grand opening will span March 9th to March 18th. With the new store opening there will be a lot of great deals, and several fun, free events throughout the month, but no "Special VIP Party".   All of our customers are our VIPs, and each day we serve you is a party!

St. Patrick's Day 4 Miler

The St. Patrick's Day 4 Miler at Kinsale is what you would expect from an M3S Sports event, a running and walking event slightly veiled as a reason to party. The event features a four-mile course through the neighborhood around the beautiful Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club. The fully-supported course is open for 80 minutes to accommodate all runners and walkers.

Long John Run

Put on your best long johns, thermal underwear, red union suit, white knickers, winter knickers, paul bunyan's, long handlers, hillbilly wedding outfit, or canadian tuxedo and get out of your log cabin and winter doldrums and join us on Saturday, March 10 at Highbanks Metro Park for a fun run and walk.

Mark your calendars... Zombie Buffet 5K!!!

You make a hard left and now find yourself face to face with two of the undead. Their cold eyes lock onto you, and you can tell by their blood soaked clothes that the stakes for you couldn't be any higher. All you have to keep you from becoming their next meal are your legs and your wits. But you must act quickly.

Are you in hell? Is this a nightmare?

No. It is the ZOMBIE BUFFET 5K! A unique road race that puts you right in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. But unlike the zombie doomsday you have been picturing in your head, you won't find yourself in a well appointed shelter surrounded by weapons and friends. Instead, you will find yourself downtown, surrounded by chaos and scrambling for safety. Do you think you have what it takes to survive?
